MECCA, the Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts, is a Eugene-based non-profit arts organization dedicated to “diverting materials out of the waste stream and into our community’s creative endeavors.” When we met them, MECCA had just come under new leadership and was undergoing a lot of change. Social media efforts had been stepped up, a new website had launched, and the store was being updated and reorganized.
The efforts were definitely paying off: in a short time, store sales had doubled.
In other words, it was time to update the MECCA brand to reflect the improved offering and get the word out. MECCA needed to develop a new visual identity and a marketing plan for reaching potential customers with little or no media budget. We designed a logo, brand identity package, an eNews template, and other physical collateral that all reflected the new MECCA.
